Did you know that our Landgasthof Karner is a real historical gem? The property, located on the Salzstrasse from Berchtesgaden to Augsburg, with the former farm name “Bäck”, has existed for more than 550 years. In 1460, the property first appeared in documents as “Hof zu Westerndorf”. It has always been a stately farm, as well as a bakery and inn, and at times a mill was also attached. In the last century, the “Bäck” gradually changed to a pure “guest economy”. The first evidence of this can be found in brewery invoices from 1576…
