The Landgasthof Karner has two restaurants and a bar. Our Westerndorfer Stube offers regional and seasonal specialities. Here the love of traditional Bavarian cuisine applies. However, we are also happy to spoil you with vegetarian and international specialities. For the very special evenings, guests may dine in our Gourmet Restaurant. Here, our chef Manuel Wimmer spoils you in a casual atmosphere with contemporary cuisine on the highest level. You may let the evening come to an end in the bar of the Country Inn, with high-quality wines from our wine cellar, Bavarian beer or cocktails. If the weather is nice, guests may enjoy themselves on the outdoor terrace.

Our more than 550-year-old country inn Karner wants to continue the tradition of the region. We would like to thank the residents of Frasdorf for their help.
YOU show us your favorite traditional recipe of the region and we will cook it together with you! The real Bavarian recipes of the residents are collected and can be found on the menu on a monthly change. At the end of the year, guests may even purchase a cookbook at the Landgasthof Karner.

Our bright breakfast room welcomes you with a high-quality breakfast buffet. We value sustainability and regionality even regarding our breakfast. True to the mission statement of Castlewood Hotels: nature-connected, tradition-conscious and family-relations, we try to avoid food waste and the use of plastic in the best possible way, as well as we try to source our products from the region. Our milk comes from happy cows, our eggs from free-range chickens and the jam is homemade. Our Bircher muesli is freshly made every morning according to our family recipe and most baked goods come fresh from the oven. In this way, we would like to make you familiar with our region, but at the same time we want to remain true to our values.

Duck Specialities

In the cold season

In keeping with the pre-Christmas period, our chef has created a 4-course duck menu, which will be available in our Westerndorfer Stube from November 1st. We spoil you with duck consommé and root vegetables, tender leg ragout and crispy duck breast with red cabbage. The whole experience is rounded off with a Christmassy gingerbread parfait.
