You can enjoy perfect winter hiking, skiing and cross-country skiing during the winter in the Chiemgau Alps and around our country hotel.

After the climb, ski tourers and snow-shoe hikers often meet at the Frasdorfer Hütte, which can be reached in about an hour. Those who prefer to travel on skis can use the cross-country trails, which are prepared when the snow conditions are good. South of Frasdorf, you can make use of three circuits, all of which are connected to each other. You can find access details at the Landgasthof Karner. Those without equipment can find suitable gear at the Sporthaus Steigenberger Aschau.

Tobogganing is not just for children; adults enjoy it too. You will find many opportunities for fast toboggan rides around Frasdorf. You can also rent toboggans at the Frasdorfer Hütte. So nothing stands in the way of tobogganing fun on the 5 km into the valley.

The well-prepared pistes of the Kampenwand in Aschau, the Hocheck in Oberaudorf, the Sachrang (which also offers beginners’ lifts) and the Sudelfeld in Brannenburg are suitable for the skiers and snowboarders among you. The Kampenwand is one of the last ski areas with pure natural snow in winter. You will, of course, also find traditional huts for a stop-off.
